Hey all,

The newly announced BQ Aquaris X5 is coming soon, exclusively to O2. BQ produces the third best selling smartphone in Spain & Portugal, and when you consider the devices that are sold in those territories, it's clear that BQ know how to make a phone, and the X5 is certainly a looker.

The X5 features a five inch screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon™ processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory with room to expand through an SD card. It also packs a pair of powerful cameras with a 13MP unit on the back and a 5MP selfie camera on the front.

What really makes the X5 stand out from the crowd is that it's running Cyanogen OS, a modified and customised version of Android that gives you more control and features. If you like the sound of that, you can find out more about Cyanogen OS here > https://cyngn.com/cyanogen-os

Liking the looks/sounds of this one? Want to know everything about it and when it'll go on sale? Make sure you register your interest here > https://www.o2.co.uk/getupdates

Hey all,

Just a quick update to let everyone know that we're hoping to launch the brand new BQ X5 this week - and something you may not have been aware of before, it comes with a five year warranty. Yes, that's not a typo.

Make sure you register here for updates, and i'll also keep you posted too > https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/phones/bq/aquaris-x5/

Additionally, we'll also be launching the X5's slightly smaller brother, the M4.5 - we're hoping to launch this before the end of the month, and it too comes with a five year warranty. This, though, comes with Android 5.1 rather than the CyanogenOS of the X5 - this may be suited to people who don't need or want the additional features of Cyanogen, want a smaller phone, or something more budget friendly. No cost info yet, but stay tuned here > https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/phones/bq/aquaris-m4-5/

Hey guys, just a quick update for those interested in the BQ X5 or M4.5:

Unfortunately bringing a new device to a market that a manufacturer hasn’t been in before does face some challenges such as ensuring our customer services can provide full support should you need it, ensuring the manufacturer is able to offer the support levels we’d expect, and a lot of behind-the-scenes action too. We had hoped for a January launch and thought we were on track but we’re afraid it’s going to take a little bit longer. We don’t have an ETA but once we’re confident we can bring this brand new device to the UK and when, we’ll let you know here.
