Not everyone who upgraded got that message. Mine, received at 8.10am said:
You've chosen to collect from O2 Store, [address of store].
Once it's in, we'll be in touch to let you know what the collection
arrangements are for the day so you can pop in and pick it up.
For a 'Click n Collect' trade-in order, remember to bring your old
trade-in device with you.
But first you'll need to follow these 4 steps:
1 - remove any SIM or SD cards
2 - back-up your phone and contacts
3 - wipe any sensitive information
4 - remove your device from iCloud, ITunes and 'Find my iPhone' accounts
(if necessary)
Thanks for choosing to stay with us
I have to say that I quite enjoy this time of year. It happens every time a new iPhone is released. There appears to be no consistency in O2's policy and messaging and expected delivery dates mean nothing until they know what they are getting. In my experience they under promise and over deliver. Last year I ordered a jet black 7 and was told it would be more than 6 weeks but I got it two days after release.
I'll just be be pleased to get my phone (space grey 256gb) when I get it, it's not like I am without a phone until then. I do love reading all the rumours and speculation on this site though!

Yh my 64gb silver went through at 7:34 but I already knew how much data I wanted without looking at prices.

I have been gaurenteed a delivery date by an o2 employee on live chat so I expect nothing less than it arriving on Friday. If this doesn’t happen what is the process for reporting the person I spoke to for giving me false information?

@BigNick my apologies, just realised I made a typo in the chat. I placed my order at 9am not pm haha! Although regardless of the time I placed my order I’ve been gaurenteed a delivery date that is the 3rd so how do I go about reporting the person who told me should this information be incorrect?
