I’ve been told by o2 on fb yesterday that delivery estimates on there websites are accurate and I’m unlikely to get my silver 256gb x for at least 4 weeks, live chat told me last week my phone was in despatch mode and she’d even try to get it to md faster.

Well I sincerely hope that 6 week estimate isn’t true otherwise I will be seeking this phone from elsewhere and cancelling my upgrade, I was on live chat last night and was told by a lady named jeet that I should have the sg 256 at the very most in two weeks, needless to say I took that with a massive pinch of salt with all the conflicting info they are giving out to others.

To add I was looking on o2’s Facebook page and reading some comments and someone there was claiming they was told by o2 not to expect the phone till the 29th January!

Not much of a consolation but anyone who is on the yearly upgrade problem won’t be penalised by the phone being out of stock O2 will honour the launch date of the phone delivery date.

Last year my JB 7+ was ordered a week after launch but delivered in 4th November however I was able to upgrade my contract on the upgrade program this year from mid September.

All they continued to tell me was to go with the indication given when ordering and that the next time I should expect any contact would be when they are arranging deliver. It seams we are being left in the dark but saying that how much do o2 even know....?!

I finally bothered myself enough tonight to get in touch with O2 via online chat.

Apparently my order has been sent for fulfilment and has been successful.

No real idea what that means but they said they received stock and one of them has been allocated to my order. I should receive notification soon. I imagine soon means up to 3 weeks 🤪

oh and and at the beginning of the chat they said it was up to 3 weeks from today. Wasn’t until after they checked my order details that they gave me the spiel of I’ll get a notification soon.

I spoke with two LC operators last night. One said they are out of stock of everything and doesn’t know when new stock will be delivered as it is a warehouse issue. 2nd said new stock in tomorrow (14th Nov) and she would “email” to see if she can get me my order sooner. Waiting on 256gb silver. Ordered 8th Nov and the confirmation email just said aiming to have it ready for collection from 6th Dec. Not holding my breath!

What's the current waiting time for the iPhone X?
I upgraded 7 days ago as my contract was due for renewal but I have no idea when I will receive my new Iphone x?
Can I cancel my new agreement and go with Sky or Virgin?
What's the expected waiting time for this phone???

So I’m going to say it having been following these posts for a while. Why, when you were told an expected delivery date of 6 December and you continued with your order on that basis, would you ring twice on 13 November to chase the phone? If I was quoted 6 December then I wouldn’t be calling before then. All of these multiple calls and chats to O2 cost them money, and who do you think ultimately pays for that? I am sure they will be getting phones to people as soon as possible as they want you to start paying. The notion that you can somehow skip the queue by badgering them constantly seems very naive to me. If I were the customer service person I would have told you that I was emailing just to get rid of you.

My experience has been that o2 are cautious on delivery estimates and often deliver before them (they did with my 6 and 7) but this time there have been well publicised issues with Apple getting the stock out. And while I am sure they are not perfect and have made mistakes I am certain that O2 wouldn’t be deliberately withholding your phone from you.

@CJR

I was wondering the same when I read someone had ordered on the 8th November. I can’t imagine why someone that ordered after preordering stage and the days after launch day would be ringing wanting to know where their phone is and expect to get their phone rushed through when others ordered on 27th October-3rd November are still waiting for theirs. 🤯
