In all seriousness now, this is what the community means to me. It seems a lifetime ago but in my head it's only yesterday. I'll never forget the help this community gave me in my hour of real need

That was such a touching thread @jonsie and exactly what a good Community should be all about.

I’ve always been fascinated by internet forums, as you can learn so much just by reading through discussion threads / help topics, and that’s essentially where I’ve acquired most of my knowledge about mobile phones.
This one’s a tight-knit community, the regulars here really know their stuff, and it’s quite refreshing to see some real dialogues developing between members, as opposed to the fire-and-forget approach that you often see in other communities. It makes the process of delivering help & support more personal I feel, and hopefully it’s less off-putting for first time visitors to the forums. We just need a few more of those newcomers to stick around, and get even more involved. With technology changing all the time, none of us are experts for very long, and we’ve all got some valuable experience to share.
They’re a friendly bunch here, who struggle to stay on topic sometimes, but I guess it would be a dull place if we couldn’t enjoy a bit of banter, and I think it’s probably the social aspect that keeps me here. I no longer use O2, having switched providers several years ago, but the community aspect is quite addictive

Anyway it was with some resistance I picked up the last iPhone from a mobile store. I'm pretty much willing help people where I can.
There is a few members in here who make the place worthwhile. I've been on others where they are not so friendly and sometimes ignornant and aloof and use big technical terms to add to the mystery.
The best way is to keep it simple, clear, direct and in a friendly manner. I spend some time around audio based groups where the topics surround higher end and occasionally ultrapriced equipment.
It's funny Huawei and other Chinese based companies are edging their way into the EU markets. Apple and Samsung are no longer forerunners in the mobile market in terms of technology. They may have the edge in popularity and familiarity however not ticking all the boxes.
When poled foldable handsets become the norm then all other current models will become old school. Or whenever fashion dictates as it often does.
And other thing do you wait until 5G networks become functional until you upgrade or just stick with volte enabled devices?
So many questions, not enough answers...i need a lie down.

@Anonymous I've learned loads on this forum as well over the few years I've been here. The amount of knowledge the community has all together is really amazing.
@anticpated It's really interesting to think about future (or even near-future now) changes in the mobile industry. Looks like foldable devices might not be far away anymore, I've seen more and more news articles from different manufacturers planning them, building the excitement. Can't wait to try one out.

I just realised I didn’t get a mention too. 😒
Use iPhone XS Max dual sim, SE, Honor 10, IPad Pro 11, Apple Watch 4 LTE, 100+ Mpbs Barrier and a Record Player.
