Nothing will happen, they will use it the same as everyone else, but seeing that O2 don't do 4G yet we don't know about prices.
You will have to buy a 4G phone of course.

Wow, that was quick. Thanks mate.
Hmm.. I just signed up for 12 monthd plan and was wondering if it was a good idea (since 4g should be out in early summer). I would prefer option 'b' but a few quids extra would also be fine. Anything above £5 extra would be a strict no no.

We'll need a new section of the forum to deal with poor television reception!

I heard today in the O2 shop that 4G will use the old analog TV masts to broadcast its signal. I live on a spot which is just borderline acceptable, with mobile reception that varies from nothing at all to 4/6 bars on EDGE. That is sitting still with the phone unmoving. Very occasionally it tries to get HSPA. As I walk into the town, I only get reception about 1/3 of the time. Most networks are worse. Orange is comparable. 3 with its 3G only network does not even register a signal at home.
My old analog TV, however, used to get an excellent strong signal on all 5 channels. I can see the mast from the back of my house, but it is over 5 miles away. I didn't think mobile broadcast power was allowed to be very powerful so don't hold out a lot of hope for that.
I know 4G is being rolled out, and "networks are being upgraded", but how will it actually work. Can I really expect to see improved coverage? Can I expect to actually receive all the calls in and not get a text telling me I've got an ansaphone message? Will I be able to browse without "The network is busy or unavailable"?
