Well it’s been 6 weeks since signing up to VM Volt, the VM Volt is active but not the O2, I’m signed up for 5gb £10 and not get Volt 10gb. I contacted 02 who said the Volt is not active, they told me to contact VM, I called VM they were not sure what the problem is so they escalated the problem. Next day I received the following email sent to me on 3rd Jan 2025….

“Hello,

Following your recent query about Volt benefits, we’ve made some checks and can confirm that your account is eligible for Volt benefits.

What’s changing?

We’ve updated your account to confirm your eligibility. It can take up to 14 days for your benefits to be applied to your account.

For more information about Volt benefits, just head to VM

Kind regards,

The Virgin Media team”

I’m sick of chasing VM and O2, what’s annoying I was ok with Giffgaff, £10 20gb monthly contract but was hood winked in taking up the VM O2 Volt package. I should have just gone for the VM 250 !

Ok my question is can I cancel the O2 contract and move to another provider without getting penalised for leaving before contract end which is 18 months.

TIA

Must admit seeing you signed up through Virgin and moved from giffgaff I can’t see the SIM being ineligible

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Not seen Bluesky mentioned in the official list of O2 social media presences, @Nick123456 - but FB should do, it's all the same team anyhow. Good luck!

@Dave-O2 your and everyone else’s message notifications were in my junk mail. Nothing I did contacting o2 or virgin sorted the problem out. I rang o2 retentions today and I’m now sorted I think? They teared up my existing contract and started a new one, it shows I’m getting 10gb data now on my o2 + they have given me Volt on top of my 10gb (£10) , only downside I had to sign up for 24months. The lady in retentions was very good I must say as is most of the people I’ve spoken to. Must be a technical problem no one could fix ?

thanks

Good to know, @Nick123456 👍🏼

@Dave-O2 That e-mail misconfiguration*has* to be fixed - just imagine if the forum registration e-mail confirmation is going to new users' SPAM 😱
