Moving to Ultimate Volt Bundle without paying early termination fee

I am moving house and would like to use the Ultimate Volt Bundle which includes an O2 Unlimited SIM in the price. I currently have a SIM only contract with O2 that expires June 2024. Would I have to pay an early contract termination fee in order to switch contracts or is there a way around this since I am moving between O2 contracts?

Check your My O2 to see if you are able to UPGRADE. If so your new O2 sim could be used for that. However, you need to speak to O2 to ensure they are aware.

Yes you would have to pay the termination fee, on your current contract if you want to cancel it and move to Volt Ultimate. 

Or call VM on 0345 454 1111 and ask them if they can do you the same deal but without the ultimate sim card and see how you get on.  This can be done you just need to be persistent with Virgin Media

If you sign for Virgin Media you are entitled to Volt anyway.

Ultimate Volt is 1GB broadband (If Virgin can supply a suitable router!)

Do you need that speed?

Keep on with Virgin but watch out for hard sell, and vague promises.

I do not need that speed but with the discounted TV packages and included Unlimited SIM, it seems like a deal worthwhile.
