Can I Upgrade Handset on a Volt package

I’ve changed over and now have the volt package combined with my virgin WiFi and a o2 SIM card for data, is it possible to upgrade my handset with o2 and if so how would the billing work with the data etc?

Guide: Upgrading Your O2 Phone is a good place to start, @Dale5 - note it may take a few days for the Volt benefits to be applied to the new contract, but the VM side should remain doubled throughout if you are not near the end of that contract.
