video calling on Sony Xperia L1

I have a Sony Xperia L1 -- there's nothing in the settings on using it for video calling.

I now need that application to phone my mum in hospital on her iPhone. It would have to be direct to her i7 phone, and not via a third party apps like Whatsapp or Skype -- which I'm assuming could be used.

Is this possible?

thanks

There is no Android equivalent to Facetime im afraid. And the video calling function has been removed from most phones now as Apps do it better.

Your only option is to use Google Duo (linked to your google Account) which is an app or FaceBook Messenger, Teams, Skype or Whatsapp
- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

Thanks for the answer! I'll try that with my google account. cheers.

Though I just had to disable google duo because it removes the STATUS bar from the phone's home page.
