It's a broken system so good luck.
The only way some (not many) have been successful is changing it in your MyO2.

Provided it's not an iPhone switching off WiFi and setting network type to 2G or 2G)/3G sometimes gets the code to work.
Did for me

iPhone owners can always beg or borrow an Android phone provided they have a movable SIM

Well since I set mine four years ago I've had 3 handsets and swapped from plastic to eSIM and back to another plastic and it's stayed at 30 seconds.
Admit all phones were android but two different makers and around four incarnations of Android so I can't see why swapping back to iPhone should change things unless it's the usual "we do things our way" with Apple.

I set mine successfully on a Samsung some 20 years ago and was fine until work forced me onto an iPhone. Never been able to revert back to 30 secs since.

Maybe an iPhone thing
Got me thinking so I managed to put my SIM in a Nokia 6310i (yes, it still works after a quick charge) Still 30 seconds.

Yes, I think we can conclude that it's an iPhone thing as all the people that have been successful here are on Android.
