My Samsung SGH-E720 deleted a load of my stored text messages by itself and i'm wondering whether there is any way to retrieve them please?

It's obviously an old phone and not a smartphone.

was reading a single message. afterward i deleted that one and then the phone seemed to switch itself off and on again. when i went back to my inbox there was only 8 texts saved in there where previously there had been in excess of 40.

They are important messages too and i really need to retrieve them if at all possible. are they stored anywhere? (network, phone company etc.etc.)

If rebooting your phone does not retrieve them, they are lost forever unfortunately.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Unless you have them backed up with an app such as SMS backup then they are lost I'm afraid.

You won't be able to recover them.

You could try rebooting the phone again to see if they reappear

They could possibly be backed up to your Samsung account

O2 don't store text messages
