Hi,

I've recently swapped from Vodafone to O2 and transferred my number via PUK. I had selected e-sim from the sales page because it explicitly stated my phone was compatible, though having looked at my phone manufacturer's website after purchasing the SIM deal, it turns out this is not the case.

Anyway, I rang O2 while my number was still on the Vodafone SIM, and the guy on the other end said he recommended I get an O2 SIM for my phone (which I promptly did). He said he had made the changes on my account so that I would be using the SIM rather than the e-sim.

It's been several days now and I still have no service on my number. The SIM is picking up signal but I am unable to make or receive calls to my number, nor am I able to use mobile data.

I am now unable to call O2 because my number doesnt work and my Vodafone service is disconnected.

What do I do?

Pop into any O2 store with photo ID and they can check your sim and account.

Or  message them on Social Media if that works best for you -on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

You can also use Skype to call Guide: A Guide to Skype

I unfortunately live in a small town and there is no nearby O2 store. I also don't have or use social media.

I've looked around for their live chat, but this seems non-existant?

Live chat is only available through the app unfortunately. Can you access the app or not?

If not, you'll need to call using Skype as mentioned above or create a social media account for the sole purpose of contacting O2.
