Have you just upgraded?

If so, try your old sim in the new phone or start a sim swap from old sim to activate the new one you received Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update

Keep rebooting your phone.

Check these guides Guide: How can I sort out my network issues? and Guide: Is the network down for me or everyone? If they don't help then contact O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.

In addition to the testing in the guides shared by @Cleoriff, mention to O2 when you contact them that this is a new phone - could be a Shipping Bar that O2 need to remove, highhvalue phones are reportedly being shipped in a locked state, so nobody can use it if they intercept the delivery. Good luck!

Just use your old sim in the new phone for now.

You can swap @mlb ...you just need O2 to remove the iData bolt on from your account. (This can be done after the swap has taken place)
