Hi @Eileen2

My other half has a Samsung S10+ and a live.co.uk email address. He has no problem sending  or receiving emails. Suggest you reset network settings

  1. From the Home screen, navigate: Apps. Settings. Backup and reset. ...
  2. Tap. Reset network settings. .
  3. Tap. Reset Settings. .
  4. If applicable, enter the PIN, password, fingerprint or pattern then tap. Reset Settings. again to confirm.

If that doesn't work then you need to contact O2 to look at your account.

Give O2 a call on 202  or 0344 809 0202 (Contract)

Or you can message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), hopefully they should be able to help.

Use these smtp settings:

  • Server: smtp-mail.outlook.com.
  • Port: 587.
  • Security: STARTTLS.
  • Username: Your full email address.
  • Password: Your password.

My phone does not have that option.  I can get to apps I can get to settings  but there is nothing about reset network settings . Our old S10 phones work fine with V 4  e mail but new phone have v6 and will not work from any live.co.uk e mails

@Eileen2

Samsungs app, like Apples inbuilt app, doesnt play nicely with what is known as modern authentication, hence Samsung are removing it, but they have been saying this for a good few months...

For MS Services the advice is to always use the Microsoft Apps

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

Samsung app has always been pretty rubbish @Eileen2

No loss to anyone when they withdraw it.
