Set up a new iPhone that has a physical SIM and that works fine but the esim is having issues.

Calls can be made using the esim but if I try to call the esim number I get a message that says the number is not recognised.

I've been into O2 and gotten a replacement esim qr code. Removed the esim and added it back on and it's still not working.

This esim account was used on an iPhone XR and has been removed from that phone. The iPhone in use now is a iPhone 15 pro.

Not sure that the issue is 😮💨

Have you removed the plastic SIM before installing the eSIM? Otherwise you can have problems

What we have regarding eSIMs is in this guide

eSIM - How to activate

Personally, if the plastic SIM is working OK erase the eSIM  and stick to plastic.

The way O2 have set up eSIMs just leads to grief

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Oops.wrong button.

Got it.sorted... turns out for some reason call divert was on the esim even though I never set it and it was showing as off. I had to turn it on and then back off and it works fine now.   How odd!
