iMessage problems since porting number

Hi,

I had my number ported from 3 to o2 on Friday and like many from what it seems, I’ve not been able to activate iMessage & FaceTime with my phone number since, was working perfectly fine until port day. Have tried every single idea I can find online from resetting network settings, resetting the whole phone and even did a sim swap but still nothing is fixing the issue.

o2 are saying it’s an Apple issue but I don’t think this is correct because it was fine till Friday, doesn’t have this issue with a different sim in it and they are saying it’s a network problem, at the point now where I’ve no idea what to do to get this sorted and wishing I just stayed with 3

thanks for any advice anyone has

@Sard28

The only other thing to try is to get O2 to disconnect and reconnect your line.

This has fixed the issue for others in extreme cases.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Seems ridiculous if this is what needs to be done, they’ve obviously not done something correctly when porting my number as I’m not receiving some passcode txts either but trying to get them to acknowledge there’s an issue isn’t easy as been told number port was completed Friday and I shouldn’t be having any issues that are network related

Quite frankly I have seen this on all 4 of the major networks with ported numbers on iPhones, so it's not just an O2 thing. In some cases it seems that it sorts itself out in time.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Just to update incase anyone comes across this with the same issues, after 5 days my iMessage and FaceTime worked again, 6 days and banking texts returned then by 7 days nhs & klarna passcode texts started coming through again so just seems like it took a week for my number to fully port and be set up, never had the issue before with multiple iPhones but thankfully wasn’t a long term issue
