how do I delete a phone number from my account that I do not recognise

some time ago I was scammed and a new phone was sent to me that I rejected and returned. despite assurances from O2 that this would be cancelled - I am still being billed!  I am currently ignoring and deleting, but it is annoying and unnecessary!

This is a customer to customer community, not O2, so we cannot access your account, sorry.

You need to contact O2.

Message them on Social Media. Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (X)  (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) or give them a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202 (contract) 4445 or 0344 8090222 (PAYG)

I would be quite careful @LeicsLady if O2 are still billing you. You could end up being disconnected, having the "debt" sold to a Debt Collection Agency for enforcement and having O2 trash your credit score. O2 can be quite ruthless when debt, real or perceived is involved and I believe that you need to be proactive in resolving the matter. 👍
