esim replacing old sim in new iPhone

I have an old iPhone 8 with a physical sim and have replaced it with new iPhone 15 pro max. This needs an esim to replace. How do I do this

@Mike_C If you have an O2 store nearby, call in and they will provide you with the esim and set it up. If you request it online, we understand that O2 disconnects your physical sim before the esim arrives, rendering your phone and your ability to install the esim useless.

If you have been put on the new system you can go to Swap My Sim in MyO2 and do it from there.

If that's not available calling into an O2 shop with Photo ID is the best way.

You can request a swap through Customer Services but they are like to switch off your old SIM before the ESIM pack arrives
