eSIM swap when in the EU

Hello,

I realise that there are already some questions about this but the answers are varied.

Question (in 2 parts):

1 - If I am abroad (in the EU principally) using an already activated / enabled eSIM can I have that eSIM transferred to a different phone (eSIM compatible) in the UK while I am still in the EU?  This would allow my wife / daughter (who would still be in the UK) to "manage" my incoming calls and SMS messages if I need to stay in the EU longer than the 63 day limit currently stated in the O2 Ts and Cs for EU roaming.

2 - Something we all dread I expect - I travel to the EU without having transferred my eSIM from phone A to phone B (different handsets but both eSIM compatible) and I only have phone B with me in the EU.  Can I get the UK based eSIM (in phone A) de-activated and get the eSIM transferred / downloaded to phone B AND (critically) activated when I am in the EU or can activation ONLY be done when in the UK?

This isn't something I would expect to do but if it turns out to be necessary then some prior knowledge would be handy!!

Thank you, Frank

@FrankS

It can be done in the respective MyO2 accounts providing both accounts are on the new 360 billing system.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Hello,

Thank you for the quick reply.

Apologies for being "dim" but how do I know if I (or my SIM or phone) are on the 360 billing system?  Does it tell me in My O2 or somewhere - and if not how do I find out?

Thank you, Frank

Have a look if you have the SIM Swap menu

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
