Have you tried unlocking first @Jenny105 ?

Hi M15   Bst Wishes for 2025

By ''unlocking'' is that putting in the unlocking code for the device.   No I havent tried that and never thought the unlocking was referring to the device.  I'll try that. Usually Ive been using the phablet for other purposes prior to making a call so assumed it was unlocked.  🤔

It was all I could think of @Jenny105 unless there is an app lock on the phone dialler?

Check the security settings of the device.

Its a puzzeller  Samsung Galaxy S ? phablet.  I blacked out the screen unlocked with the pattern chosen . From contacts i chose GP (answer message after hours) . The number rang but immediately double tap to unlock came up over the top of the keypad. I could just hear the answerphone . To stop it it was necessary to shutdown the phablet.   So not that issue.

Where would i find any settings for the phone app. / tablet apps?

In the phone app itself @Jenny105

Oe try,

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap Advanced features
  3. Tap Motions and gestures
  4. Toggle off Double tap to turn on screen

Hi I followed this thru. All of the subjects shown were off.   !!  I'll maybe have to get a new phablet. That may cure the O2 phone isssue. But maybe not the Myphonak app. The hearing aids are unpaired , but I cannot pair them up again.  I'll contact audiology  who gave me the app to boost my hearing, see what they can can do. And theres an ENT appointment this week I might not be able to use a hearing aid in one ear for now.

Any ideas on Phablets would be welcomed and I'd check if they are compatible with myphonak .

Best wishes for 2025

Phablets are few and far between these days.

iPads can make calls but only if you have a linked iPhone. I seem to recall limited devices the last time we looked?

It may not even be an issue with the tablet. It could be the myphonak app causing the issue, so I wouldn't rush out to buy anything new just yet until all possibilities are exhausted.
