Hi

I have just bought a Galaxy a15 (thought it would have AOD - but no). Transferred all data etc that I  need. Turn the phone to lock screen but all I get is a black screen (no lock screen as set). however, when I press the "power" button, the lock screen comes up. What gives? Also, it there a 3rd party AOD which actually works and doesn't give the same result as previously described

That's working exactly as designed.

Any apps will just keep your screen on and run down the battery quickly as the phone doesn't have the power management to support it.

The Galaxy is crippled by Samsung, as such it is capable of AOD but Samsung dont allow it, have a look at this from Samsungs own community

There is no 3rd party support either for AOD, my only advice would be to return it and get a Motorola G55 5G which does support it..
