Hi,

I can't seem to get WiFi calling working at my place of work.  It works great at home, and at my parents, but nothing at work.  The icon doesn't even show up.  I have absolutely no mobile signal in my office, but I get perfect WiFi signal as we have an access point within our office.  My network admin says all the ports are open for my phone.  I got a note of the ports from this forum and my admin says they are all setup correctly.  Other staff have the same settings and their phones work no problem.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

WiFi calling can be flakey if you have more than one device connected to Wireless Hotspot, due to QoS (quality of service) enabled on the network.

Have you tried the following:
Remove the Wifi Network from your handset and then rejoin the network.
Go into the handset menu and turn WiFi Calling Off and On again.
I would also ask the network admin, if there are any restrictions on bandwidth across that WiFi AP

Hi,

Sorry, I meant to say what I had tried, and thanks for replying. I have tried all those things numerous times.  I work at a college and have probably close to 100 access points, and there is usually never any  QoS issues.  Even when I'm the only one in the office it is still not working.  Even when we had another 6 staff in the office, they could all get WiFi calling, but I still couldn't.  It makes no difference where I am on campus, it still doesn't work.  As soon as I get home the icon appears and works just as it should.  We have even checked to see how many devices were connecting to the access points I was on, and it wouldn't make a difference if I was the only one.

I'm the only one that has the Note 10, everyone else has an iPhone, Pixel, HTC, etc.  I actually did a factory reset a few months ago, and it's now on the latest software version.

Cheers,

Barry

I know when we have had similar issue with this on our enterprise network its been an Access Point that some one set the QOS to something silly for voice hence asking.

Hi @O2Emma ,

I just tried that and it reconnects to the wifi, but the icon doesn't popup/appear for the wifi calling.  We have a few wifi connections, and I have tried them all, including Eduroam but still nothing.  All those I can access the internet, email, etc.

Thanks.  Would that not affect others as well though?  The admin was in earlier and he still says everything is setup correctly as all other staff that are connected to the same wifi have this function working and it's just me that it's not working with.
