I have an iPhone 12 Pro and have Wi-Fi Calling and Visual Voicemail.
When using Wi-Fi Calling, Visual Voicemail doesn't work. New voicemails do not come through to my phone until I have mobile data again.
This seems like a major oversight, @O2Sarah- please advise?

You need mobile data to be working to get the notifications it is a well known limitation to Visual Voicemail...
Nothing to do with o2, just a by design in the GSM standards.
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company

VVM has always needed a mobile data connection to work.
It's not a limitation of wifi calling.

I totally agree with you @MI5
@CorrectHorseBat
o2's contact number is 202 from your o2 phone or 0344 809 0202 from another phone...
Good Luck, as you will get the same answers from them...
And on the point of Three and VVM, this page explains there VVM service
https://www.doesthreesupportvisualvoicemailyet.com/
And EE you need Mobile Data to access VVM
Trust me I know, with over a 1000 devices I manage across multiple UK and Global networks... but then again what do I know...

Hi @CorrectHorseBat . I can confirm that with o2 you do need an active mobile data connection for visual voicemail to work. You can still access voicemail by calling 901 if you need to while mobile data is not available. I understand this is different to your experience on EE but I can only comment on the support available on o2.
Thanks

Thanks, please submit this as feedback to be improved/changed so you can use Visual Voicemail without mobile data as this is something other networks support. Many thanks.
