Hi, I'm on a pay monthly contract using my own handset. I have just had a PIN out of the blue from "Airtime". I have no idea why or whether I should be concerned that somebody is using my phone number somewhere? I've tried a Google search but with no firm answer. Can anyone advise please?

If you haven't requested it just delete and ignore.
Most likely that someone entered your number by mistake.
Scammers do try that tactic but it is usually associated with a phone call offering a discount or something else desirable.

Thanks MI5, I did receive some calls around the same time which my spam detection blocked!
