Unresponsive phone (Samsung A70)

My phone is fully charged and still beeps to let me know I have texts, e-mails etc, but it does not work when I try to react to these messages.  The screen is unresponsive.  I can use the side button to call up the 'power off' screen but none of the options are working.  I hoped a restart would solve the problem but this is not an option!  Ihope someone has had a similar problem and can advise.  It could be 3 days before my battery runs down and I can hopefully restart then, but 3 days under quarantine conditions is a long time - I don't want friends and family thinking there is something wrong with me when it is my phone!

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Hold the power and volume down together which should force a restart. 

You may need to hold for at least 30 seconds or more.

@MargyFargy Contact Samsung support if the suggestion from @MI5 doesn't work. They're operating on reduced capacity as well, but you won't get any response from O2 at all. https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
