Solved: Unlocking old phone

I need to unlock an old phone. Im now with a different network and o2 are making it near impossible to navigate. This is kafkaesque, please help.

Guide: Unlocking an O2 phone to use a different SIM card tells the tale - all phones since 2018 gave been sold unlocked to O2 though @helppleasehelp.
