Unable to order Black Friday contract - Site issues

Hi there.

So I was attempting to upgrade by going to a new contract. Specifically I was wanting to do this one

Samsung Galaxy S24 5G (256GB) (Marble Grey)

48 month contract

125GB Data

£10.00 upfront

£29.16 monthly (13.16 + 16.00 airtime)

To be clear, this is part of the Black Friday sale which is expiring in 1 hour. And I cannot order this because your website is broken right now, as it won't let me clear the basket of another item that is currently in it. So I am messaging now and I'm also going to take a screenshot too to make sure that I did attempt to try and claim this deal, so you can still honour it because of your tech issues.

So I can't remove the tablet that I accidentally added to my basket, either from removing it individually or using the Empty Basket function. This is the same no matter what device I use and I did try contacting support while they were still open (To which it seems they closed earlier than expected today on the phones).

Looks like you should contact the sales team as they can help with that – message them on Social Media if that works best for you
Or you can call them from 8am to 8pm on 0808 002 0202 or 0800 081 0255

@InfinityGene

Maybe you should look elsewhere.

I see O2/VM warehouse is still closed after a chemical leak. This was in the news yesterday. See HERE

Interestingly that is 5 minutes from me.

Wonder if they moved to another GXO site that is even closer!

That warehouse stocks food as well as phones and many places offering Christmas lunch etc have been told by the warehouse to go elsewhere (according to the comments) I'm not sure the warehouse staff would have had the opportunity to move stock before the place was evacuated?

It's an odd one @Cleoriff - the site is meant to be a VM one run by GXO, so not sure why there is food there (unless it is actually a multi-user site)...

As for moving stuff, you are correct that they wouldn't be able to do that. If it's closed then nothing in those walls will be available. They might have had to source temporary stock or replacement at the other site.

It does stock food according to the link. The ammonia leak was from refrigeration units holding cold store produce.

It's a very large distribution warehouse.

Food, beer and phones. That's probably why the leak as the chemical is used in refrigeration

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Yeah I re-read the article and noticed it said Whitbread - I got confused as the site next door is Whitworth!
