Been trying to buy a phone all afternoon, but it keeps failing for different reasons.
Firstly, ironically, it fails at the point where they send an authentication code via SMS. However, this relies entirely on O2 coverage not being quite bad, which sadly it is and I don't have a single bar of connection at my home, therefore can't receive the SMS and there is inexplicably no other authentication route (why..?)
Secondly, once I've come down from the local mountain having found a bar of signal and received the SMS (without already having been logged out by the system), I then get to the "Proceed to Payment" button. Finally, a new phone. Except it just fails when I press it and has done all afternoon despite my best attempts. "Harry, something went wrong" it tells me very unhelpfully. Do you not want my money?
Thirdly, I've now used up my codes apparently, and need to "pop into the store", exactly what I was trying to avoid by ordering online.

As a point of interest, if O2 reception is that bad why tie yourself into another contract? Or are all networks the same?
