@Roblancer1 This is not O2. This is a customer community. You need to speak to customer service.
Call 202 from your mobile or 0344 809 0202 or 0800 032 1402 from any phone or numbers here: Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
When it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say 'Upgrade', 'Lost/Stolen', or 'Fraud' if the suggestion above doesn't get you through.
Best time to call is 8 am.
You can also reach O2 via social media:
Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB), Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW), or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)
Or you can call them on 0800 081 0255

Provided your tariff or contract does not explicitly forbid it, you can use your data allowance via tethering, or personal hotspot, as you see fit. You also cannot exceed your allowance. You will get a text when you hit 80% and then it will stop working when you hit 100%. If you run out of data you can add a bolton. I think that is about all there is to be said about tethering, @Roblancer1 - have you reached your limit (check in your MyO2) or is the signal to your phone below par - Guide: How can I sort out my network issues? And Guide: Do you have poor coverage / signal Indoors? This may help Explain / resolve it. Good luck!

I regularly tether using my iPhone to the point where I hardly ever use my fixed line broadband as O2 speed is faster and I’ve never had a problem. As has been said I’d check for network issues or speak to customer services in case of any account problems. As far as O2 are concerned you can tether to your hearts content!

Unless you are on an unlimited data tariff.
