So, from what I can tell I've been moved to a new payment system, but in the process someone thought it was a brilliant idea to do a SIM Swap in the process, with zero warning or consent. Two days later, not seeing a new SIM in the post, and now it looks like I've been moved into an eSIM that I can't even USE, because my phone is a P Smart 2020 that worked just fine for me until now, thank you very much, and that doesn't seem to support eSIMs. At all.
Am I going to end up being forced to buy a new phone? Because I'm not going to be the slightest bit happy if that's the case. I'm also not going to be happy if I have to travel to a store, because O2 keeps closing the ones I can easily travel to.

No idea why the SIM swap unless the old one needed replacing.
Yes, once there is a SIM ordered the old one is disconnected (a stupid idea)
Not much we can do here as customers as we have no access to O2 systems.
Afraid it is customer services or an O2 store with photo ID
No other way
Guide: How to find help & contact O2

Honestly, the old SIM was working perfectly fine right up until the transfer must have happened. It's baffling that they thought it necessary at all.
It's probably going to have to be a store visit at the weekend, then, because I won't have time or energy to contact them tomorrow. I'm not sure I'll have the energy then, either.
