RCS on iPhone

I was thinking of joining O2, but hear they don’t have RCS messaging enabled for iPhone. 
I use messages for my Apple Watch (WhatsApp has no app) so need it.

does anyone know if they plan to introduce it?

People should use it more often, or Google/Bing/DuckDuckGo/GPT/otherAI... 🙄
