My son has locked his sim somehow and is putting it in a new device which is also blocked as an old EE handset, so it’s asking for a sim unlock code which I’m guessing is the PUk code, we have the device unblock code but can’t put it in until we get past the question of the sim unlock, I’ve looked in the sim but can’t see an 8 digit number and we don’t have the packaging the sim came with as it’s old, how can I get the puk code please?

The Automated call line also works for PUK.

Call 202 from any O2 mobile (or 0344 809 0202 standard UK rate from any other phone)

and say or key in your own phone number when prompted.

when it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 3 Your PUK will be read to you, so have a pen and paper handy.
