Poor signal

The signal in my house, and outside the house registers as 1 bar and whenever I made or receive a phone call the recipient cannot hear me, but I can hear them. Online it states the reception is good in my area with no issues, but this problem has been going on for a couple of months and is now worse than ever. A friend who is also on o2 tried to call from.my house and was faced with the same voice problems.

I bought a new phone initially thinking that was the problem... it wasn't! and I've tried all the normal switch off and on recommendations.

How do I report this to o2?

You can report it on the MyNetwork app https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/my-network

Also try wifi calling if your phone is supported https://www.o2.co.uk/connectivity/wifi-and-4g-calling

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Will wifi calling work when you are away from your house? Do you have to keep switching between wifi & Mobile?

It automatically switches between wifi and 4g.

If no 4g network it should switch to 3g but it doesn't always and can drop the call.
