Phone thinks I’m in turkey not in Greece

Both my son and and I have incurred charges since being in Greece (Kos) we’ve received texts welcoming us to turkey and Albania? Managed to get phones back into correct network now but not happy about paying these extra fees. Has anyone had a similar experience and did O2 refund the charges? Both my daughter and husband’s phone have been fine (one with O2 and the other EE)…

This is because your phone is connecting to a mast in Turkey / Albania, the only way to stop this is to manually select the Greek Network. 

o2 dont know you are in Greece, they work on where your phone connects, to and its your responsibility to ensure you are connected to the Greek network. 

 

O2 wont refund any costs as you have used the phone as Intended. 

lesson learnt for next time you are in Greece
