Have you rebooted?

Hi MI5, Thanks for the tip, but I have rebooted several times to no avail. After looking on the internet I have also cleared the Cache Partition, gone back to factory settings but after checking the phones system this has not removed the update, which is the cause of the problem and my Sim Manager says my mobile number is unknown, Cheers, Pete

It will always shown an unknown number with an O2 sim as they don't write numbers to sim cards.

Have you checked for any service issues in your area ? O2 Service Status

Have you search to see if this is a known bug for your make and model

It's likely you are not alone

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Just checking, but it wasn't the one ui 6 beta was it?

That's not compatible with network branded devices.

No it's definitely 5.1. I checked my wife's mobile and in the network sim card it states, Unknown but underneath it shows her number whereas on mine in sim manager it states, Unknown and underneath Unknown Number. as mentioned my mobile was working well until I downloaded the update.

Odd, on 5.1 mine shows both network and number in some manager..

I'd back it up and do a full reinstall of the firmware tbh, it's a pain but it's probably your best bet at getting it back up rinning
