Old sim deactivated a day early unable to sim swap

I ordered an upgrade to a new iPhone 13 pro through O2. For some reason my old sim was deactivated a full 24hrs before the new one arrived with the phone. The phone came with a sim but zero information. I’ve eventually found online that I need to do a sim swap but this process relies on a verification code sent via text- neither phone can receive texts.

I’ve tried to speak to someone from O2 but it only offers a chat service which it constantly says is unavailable.

can someone advise how I do this without an active Sim? Thanks!

@JohnWake

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this

Thanks

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
