O2 to o2 number migration

Just wondering whether I'm being impatient or it is likely something has gone wrong somewhere... I had two pay monthly o2 contracts. One was coming to the end so I cancelled it and asked for that number to be migrated over to the other pay monthly contract I had. This was 5pm on Monday 24th July. Was told no problem and it would take 24hrs max. By yesterday evening nothing had happened other than the number I want to keep being deactivated (I've had this number for more than 25 years and I heavily rely on it being active!). I called customer services again and assured it was all in hand, give it another 4 or 5 hours..... That's gone and more and still nothing! I can help but stress the number migration isn't going to happen and I really really need my old number back! What else should I do?!

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this
Thanks

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.
