Hello,

I’ve seen many posts on this subject, and this is my last ditch attempt for help given the response I’ve had from online chat and customer service.

I ported my number across over a week and a half ago and lost the ability to make calls send messages etc. iMessage can’t activate etc. I’ve done numeracy factory resets, checked my number, reinserted the sim… you name it I’ve tried it and still nothing. I was promised 4 days ago that the porting team were looking at it. On 2 occasions I’ve been told it will be resolved within 24 hrs and on the final conversation I was told 4! I’ve provided an alternative mobile number so I could receive a much anticipated call back. Again… no call back.

im at the point of terminating my contract and going back to Vodafone. After doing some reading I assume a port split has happened…

any help gratefully received!

We used to have some very helpful o2 advisors working on the community @Irnbru .

Unfortunately this is no longer the case:

https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Welcome-News/O2-Support-advisor-update/m-p/1634920#M40122

That means that you have to persist with customer services on the phone or via social media.

Best time to call is just after 8am.

Call them on 202 or 0344 809 0202 if you were pay monthly, or 4445 or 0344 809 222 if PAYG (or use 0800 032 1402 if you have no other line, and you can use Skype for free - Guide: A Guide to Skype ).

Alternatively you can message on social media:

Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).

Link to our guide on how to contact them can be found here

@AndyJK46

We no longer have the support advisors.

Follow the advice above given by @gmarkj

Best of luck.
