O2 payg Not receiving incoming calls or texts

I can make outgoing calls and send texts, but not receiving calls or texts. Mobile data works fine.

 

- tried resetting phone

- tried sim in different handsets

- tried in different locations (cities)

- cleaned sim

- done Sim Swap to new sim

- DND is not enabled

- callers from different networks can't reach me

 

I've had same sim, phone etc for months. It stopped working last week.

 

Called o2 'customer service' over a dozen times who say there is no barring active on the account or sim, keep repeating above steps I've done already, then fob me off with a promised call back (to my landline) but never have done.

 

Anyone had and resolved sane issue where you can make calls and send texts, but not receive at all?

Try dialling ##002#. This is the short code to cancel all diverts, including Voicemail 901. You then need to dial 1750 to switch voice mail back on if required.

Thanks. Call diverts already off and I've double checked.

 

Divert wouldnt explain why texts aren't being received either

Can you remember doing anything or downloading any new apps that coincide with this happening @Sunny11 ?

If not, it must be something on your account which only O2 can check for you.

I called o2 last week for the pin on my Call Barring function on the handset. But they said you can't do from handset menu, they have to do activate the feature at customer service.

 

I told him NOT to activate it, double checked and hung up.

 

Since then each time I've called o2 they assure me Barring (incoming or outgoing) is NOT active on my number.

 

But it's odd that issue started since my call last week, that rep may have done something but the system saying otherwise.

I haven't received a single call or text since last week.

 

I normally get 15-20 calls/texts from different people on different networks before then daily.
