Hi All.

I am not an O2 customer, but at my gym, there is a free O2 WiFi hotspot.

I had a pixel 3a and was able to connect to it fine and I used it several times over the past few months.

I have now switched to a pixel 6 and continued to use my old SIM as the contract has not yet finished.

Now when I connect to the O2 WiFi hotspot, it says 'connected to WiFi but unable to connect to internet'.

When I open my browser (Chrome), usually the WiFi login page pops up asking for my login details, but now I get nothing but an error message saying that I'm not connected to the internet.

No matter what I do to the WiFi connection options on my phone, it won't work.

I've tried restarting my phone, resetting the WiFi settings, forgetting the network and rejoining, resetting connections from my phone settings, turning off mobile data, I've cleared cookies and cache from my browser, but no luck so far.

Can anyone advise how to address this issue?

You should enquire at the Gym, as it is their WiFi access point you would be using - maybe they have blocked a few devices for some reason, and your Pixel 6 is one of them?

Or it could be this, phone-specific 'bug', @Akbarhttps://www.androidcentral.com/google-pixel-6-february-update-wi-fi-bluetooth-bugs
