Hi there

I recently discovered the 'convert to esim' button on my iPhone's settings. So I was curious and clicked on it. For the next 5 mins, my phone was spinning and said 'Activating E-Sim', and then I was greeted with the message saying 'E-Sim will be activated in the background. You may continue to use your phone.' However, I noticed that for the past three days I can no longer send or recieve calls or texts, which is the whole point of owning a sim. It has caused many disruptions in the past couple days and I have no other phone to call O2. So as a last resort, I am posting on here. Please let me know if you can do anything that will help to solve this problem.

Thanks

Oh yeah i forgot to mention, I would no longer want an e-sim after going through all these struggles and rather just have my normal sim activated again. Cheers.

@binukm

Your best bet now is to go instore with photo ID and ask for a new plastic sim.

O2 and esims aren't a good match sadly.

Is there no other way to cancel the order and just use my old physical sim?

The old SIM cannot be restored. I suppose @binukm that you could message O2 on social media and request that they let you have a new plastic SIM :-

Facebook : https://o2uk.co/O2CFB

X (previously known as Twitter) : https://o2uk.co/O2CTW

Instagram : https://o2uk.co/O2CIG

However, the new SIM would have to be sent out to you by Royal Mail which, with Christmas postal delays, might mean that you have no service for a further week or more. That is why you have been pointed in the direction of your local O2 retail store. 👍
