I was on O2 pay as you go, but got a new phone and contract with O2. I have requested for my old number to transfer over and it hasn’t yet. It has been 2 full working days. Is this normal?

O2 do seem to have problems transferring numbers. Sometimes quick, sometimes excruciatingly slow.
