Not able to send regular SMS text messages

Hi

I have had my iphone SE for over a year and it has never been able to send regular SMS texts to phones, but can iMessages.

 

Is this an issue with the carrier? It is very inconvenient.

Have you got "send as sms" enabled in message settings?

yes it was enabled in settings.

it has now been resolved by a reset,
