I am currently in the USA and I have had no signal since I touched down. I purchased a sim only travel one to cover me the lady on the phone told me this one would work now I’m stuck with no sim with no data… please could someone help????

These are some tips to try :

  •   Reboot phone.
  •   Manually search for a different network
  •   If using an iPhone, change data apn to  mobile.o2.co.uk
  •   Call customer service to check for any roaming bars
  •   Or if you message O2 using the social media links below, they should be able to help you with this

@Char06 O2 throttle their data speeds in the US to 0.5MB, which means you can't do much of anything in the way of roaming, so if you're spending any length of time there, you might want to consider getting a Pay & Go sim from AT&T or T-Mobile while you're there.

Tip: A couple years ago, I just downloaded the US T-Mobile app (available on Apple's UK App Store), and bought an in-app eSIM plan which was affordable. Then cancelled it on landing back in UK. 

 

Much easier than bothering to go to cell stores while there.
