No network connection

Hi, i am in singapore and i cant get any network connection when i am outside. I paid for the o2 travel plan which i thought would enable me to connect, but it doesn't.  I cant make any calls or text or whatsapp. Please advise. Thank you.

Some things to try:

1. Make sure data roaming and mobile data is turned on in your phone's settings.
2. Manually search for another network
3. Reboot the phone
4. If you have an iPhone change your data APN to "mobile.o2.co.uk"
5. Try toggling Airplane mode on/off (it often helps kickstart things)
6. Drop down to 3G and see if that helps.
7. Contact O2 to see if there are any roaming bars on the account
