No Data connection on my mobile since the changeover from Virgin to O2

Since my mobile provider was changed over from Virgin Mobile to O2, my mobile phone no longer connects to Data when I'm out and about. How can this issue be resolved?

Check the APN settings on your phone
If an iphone change the APN to either idata.o2.co.uk or to mobile.o2.co.uk
Otherwise set up a new APN using android settings

Check the APN settings on your phone. There have been instances when these have not changed from Virgin.
Start by Texting ACTIVE to 2020 and save the message and reboot your phone.
If that does not work come back
