I upgraded my sons phone today, I’m trying to set it up for him and sign into his Apple ID, but it’s asking for extra verification by sending a text to his number, problem is his old phone doesn’t work? Help! Thanks

Can you put the old sim card in the new phone?

If you can't put the sim in another phone then you will need to reach out to Apple support at https://support.apple.com
