@LesJ

Turn off your old phone and remove the sim.

Put sim in new phone before you turn it on.

Set up your new phone with the sim in it is best, but not essential.

Hi @LesJ

Just use your old sim in the new phone. If you want 5G then you will need to do a sim swap

Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update

Or if already on O2, you could call O2 and ask them to migrate your old number across to your new sim
