Hi. I joined O2 2 months ago as part of a virgin media bundle.  I checked I could get 4g signal inside and out on their site. At the start it was patchy but has got so bad I get NO signal at all and have to use WiFi calling.  This doesn't always connect when people call so missing calls. When on Vodafone I had no issues.

I've checked the signal status page on O2 and it's said there is an issue with the local transmitter for over a month now. How can I find out what is actually going on and timescales ?  Live chat and customer service just held in queue or call dropped.

Thanks

O2 won't give timescales for repairs but you can report issues via social media or through the My Network app.

https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/my-network

If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Check these guides Guide: How can I sort out my network issues? Guide: Do you have poor coverage / signal Indoors? This may help Explain / resolve it

O2 wont give timescales for mast repairs I'm afraid but if you download the My Network App you will be able to report this and get added info. https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/my-network

Download the My Network app, and create an account and run test daily.

Other tips on working with poor coverage here Guide: How can I sort out my network issues? but it sounds like you are already using VoWifi, @Wrongun - not much else to be done until O2 get to fix the mast nearest you.

Even had you tested with PAYG sims to see which network offered best coverage, if a mast goes unserviceable, you are stuck until repairs are effected. Cancelling can only be done within first month, so not much help to you. Reach out to O2 via Social Media (links below this post) if you are fed up hanging on the telephone. Good luck!
