I have a new sim but to activate it I have to log into my O2 which then sends a security code via text.  The issue is I have no connection at all so can't receive texts.  Live chat does not seem to be working and I can't call as no network connection.  What do I do,  I need my phone.

@Di28

Pop into an o2 store with Photo ID, and they should be able to activate it for you, otherwise call o2 on 0344 809 0202 from another phone.

All the contact details can be found here Guide: How to find help & contact O2

This is not customer services and we dont have access to your account

When you do get into your MyO2 account, add another number in your contact details. You will then get a choice of which number to which you want codes sending.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

I tried this a few weeks back - options in Web MyO2 are to add a "Landline" or an "International" number (or both!).

1. Trying to put another UK mobile network number into the "Landline" box falls foul of O2's checking that the number entered begins with either 01 or 02 - pffft!

2. Adding a UK mobile, with initial "44" and 10 digits, seems to be accepted - but it never appears as a second number in that pesky "Select number" prompt upon login. Today I deleted and re-added just to be sure, not holding out much hope on being offered the option to send the SMS for sign-on to MyO2 to that number though...

Unless there's another place for an alternate, or additional, contact number that I don't know of?

@pgn

Seems to have changed

However if you put a different mobile number as your main contract then you do get a choice of that number or your normal O2 number.

Just reset mine and gave my Spusu number. Worked OK

Aha, literally just said the same on another thread......

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
